About Russ

Russ has been helping people with their Real Estate Dreams since 1986! He’s seen it all over the years, unlike most Realtors. Even veterans of over 20 years have never seen an extended downturn! From March of 1989 to the end of 1996, our Real Estate markets incurred year after year losses. Russ creatively helped his clients benefit from this market from so many opportunities not afforded in an ever increasing market.

Russ grew up in the Toronto and Mississauga areas with a very active family that loves all 4 season outdoor activities. He's very grateful to his Dad for getting him on skis as soon as I could stand, and leading an active lifestyle. After graduating from the University of Guelph with a degree majoring in Business and Economics, Russ later acquired a Canadian Securities Certificate (C.S.C.). and the Canadian Authorized Advertising Practitioners Certificate (C.A.A.P.) to further his education and hopefully land a good job! He started his career with a marketing, advertising, and reciprocal trading company located in downtown Toronto, having the great fortune to help many Fortune 500 companies and deal directly with top executives due to the unusual nature of reciprocal trade. One of his clients offered him a job he couldn’t refuse in Territorial Sales Management, which soon led to National Sales Training and Management.

Russ has always believed in the value of Real Estate investment and invested in his first home at the age of 23 thanks to the encouragement of his Realtor big brother Bob, and has since continued to invest. Well, that all led to an offer from his brother, selling real estate, and partnering in their own brokerage. 38 years later, the rest, as they say, is history! As a young man, it only made sense to Russ that if he could buy a home, and rent it out for more than it cost per month, he would keep doing that all day long! It's the best form of retirement plan going, with much better returns than the stock market in the long run. Over the years, thanks to his business background, he's been able to help commercial clients' needs in industrial, retail, office, investment and multiple residential apartment buildings.

His life and business partner Karen and have enjoyed living in Oakville, and have a place in Collingwood. They’ve had the great fortune of helping families relocate from the western GTA to the Georgian Triangle. Collingwood and surrounding areas have provided them with an incredible, active, four season lifestyle, enjoying downhill boarding and skiing, snow shoeing, playing hockey, skating, outdoor bonfires, hiking, golf, pickleball, tennis, boating, kayaking, paddle boarding, bike riding, swimming, and more. Truly an amazing lifestyle.
